5. If you want the real thing
If you can't give up the delicious smell of pine, but can't plant the potted tree, buy from the producer nearest you, and you'll leave a smaller ecological footprint by saving on transport. You can go to a place where they only cut the trees they actually buy. It is important to know that these pine trees are not cut from forests, but are planted with the intention of one day becoming Christmas trees. Moreover, they are collected and recycled after the holidays, so they are still a better choice than artificial pine.
6. Buying a pine tree with a ball
While this can be a great solution, as you are planting a living tree, it doesn't work for everyone. However, if you have a garden and can plant it out after the holidays, or if you know how to take care of pine trees, this option is the perfect choice for you.

Some nurseries have made it possible to borrow pine trees with soil balls. However, care must be taken that they require care and they must be returned intact immediately after the holidays.
8. Don't buy fake pine!
But if you've already bought it, use it, don't throw it away! Although many people think it's an environmentally friendly solution, unfortunately it's not! Many fake trees are made from non-degradable PVC and can contain toxic substances. In the event that they were used for 10-20 years and not replaced, they would be less of a problem.
