Recycling

No. CYCLE products do not contain ingredients harmful to human health. In fact, all their ingredients are completely biodegradable and natural.

The main ingredients are a mixture of recycled organic acids (mainly acetic acid, also known as vinegar) and pure recycled water. Other ingredients include: plant based surfactants (to combat dirt and grime), essential oils (fragrance), citric acid and naturally derived preservatives.

Unlike traditional cleaning agents made from petroleum derivatives or plant-based ingredients, our organic acids are derived from the fermentation of leftover biomass. What's more, even the water we use comes from biomass, saving precious drinking water with every bottle of detergent we make.

Biomass are the excess organic matter produced in a biological wastewater treatment plant as a byproduct. Apart from having a high biologically treated water content, biomass is a mixture of bacteria and other microorganisms that help purify wastewater.

The acetic acid used in many cleaning products is petrochemically derived. Some cleaners use biologically derived acetic acid aka vinegar. Petrochemicals are non-renewable and are leading contributor to global pollution while biologically derived vinegar being produced from sugar should rather be a food source. The acetic acid used in CYCLE is fermented from biomass and is molecularly exactly the same as both petrochemical and biologically derived acetic acid but it is resource preservingand recycled.

The main ingredients of our cleaning products are organic acids and recycled water, the former being produced by micro-organisms that break down biomass. In other words, CYCLE cleaners extract value from waste rather than use valuable resources that could be used to save water or as a food source.

Packaging and Refilling

Yes, there is! Our concentrated refills are called CYCLE 10X, check them out.

500ml and 50ml bottles are made from 100% recycled plastic, excluding the closures.

Glass bottles are too heavy and fragile, and therefore have a much greater impact on the environment during transport.

We strongly recommend to practise waste collection selectively and place them in the waste bin reserved for recycling plastic. This helps ensure that it is handled as efficiently as possible in line with national and EU directives. Even better, refill your bottles and keep using them for a long time.

USE

For everyday use, dilute 30 ml in 5 litres of water. For moderately dirty surfaces, dilute 60 ml in 5 litres of water. For very dirty surfaces, use the cleaner without dilution.

Turn the switch to ON before use. Without diluting, spray the product directly onto the surface to be cleaned and then wipe off. After use, turn the switch to OFF.

Recommended for cleaning flooring, parquet, laminated flooring, stone and ceramic floortiles.

The kitchen cleaner is recommended for cleaning kitchen counters, hobs, kitchen wall tiles, table tops and refrigerators.

Recommended for cleaning taps, sinks, baths, shower trays and wall tiles.

It is recommended to use on any hard surface in the home (shelves, tables, counters, etc.). We advise to use the bathroom cleaner or the toilet cleaner for the bathroom area.

Of course! On the product page, you can set the frequency at which you want to reorder your favourite refill, so it will automatically be delivered to your door without you having to keep track of its reorder. Plus, with a subscription you can get your refills at a discounted price.

It is important to fill your bottle with water first and then add the refill. If the order is reversed, the product may foam.

The refills can be diluted with tap water to get a 500 ml bottle of cleaning solution. 1 refill (50ml) prepared according to the recommended dilution is the equivalent of a traditional 500ml ready-to-use cleaner, so it will also last around the equivalent amount of time.

Traditional cleaning products usually contain around 80-90% water. In Cycle concentrates, water is omitted as much as possible and therefore does not need to be transported: you only purchase the concentrate containing the active cleaning ingredients. Diluting the concentrate with tap water gives an equally effective cleaning product. At the same time, the concentrate bottle contains 75% less plastic and the carbon footprint of the concentrate during transport is 90% lower. And they are small this easier to store.

With 500ml concentrated refills, you can refill upto 10 times. For each refill, add 50 ml of concentrate to 450 ml of water.

Fill your CYCLE bottle with 450 ml tap water and add the concentrated refill. Shake the bottle gently and it's ready to use in less than a minute!

The main difference between the two products is in the way they should be used. The gel product has a thick and honey like formulation. To use, one must squeeze the bottle inside the toilet bowl and allow the liquid to cover the bowl before cleaning. On the other hand, the foam product has a soapy and bubbly formulation and can easily reach all the nooks and crannies inside the toilet bowl. The foam product also comes with a special trigger closure that can be used in an upside-down position - providing convenient access to areas under the rim without the need of getting in contact with the toilet surface.

CYCLE hypoallergenic dishwashing detergent contains no added fragrance or skin irritant ingredients, so it is safe to use for people with sensitive skin. However, if you suffer from ultra sensitive symptoms, we recommed to test it first before usage.

CYCLE cleaners might turn yellow which does not affect the efficacy of the product. CYCLE cleaners only contain the ingredients needed for effective cleaning hence they are essentially free of dyes/colourants and addional unnecessary modifiers/preservatives which would stop them from turning yellow.

Absolutely! It is ideal for keeping kitchen counters and surfaces clean.

"Food safe" means that if any food comes in contact with a surface cleaned with the CYCLE food safe labelled cleaner, it's still safe to eat. "Food Safe" labelled products are formulated to exclude any substances harmful to human health.

You will receive 5 cleaning products with the Starter kit. Each product has an empty 500ml Infinity bottle paired with it's Concentrate in a 50ml bottle (full of liquid). Both are color matched for ease. The starter kit also includes an instructions booklet. Please follow the instructions and dilute the concentrate in the infinity bottle as instructed. When the infinity bottle are running low, please order replacement concentrates and restart the Cycle again.

Eco-friendly Cleaners

Yes, CYCLE is absolutely safe around children and pets. Having said that, please use common sense when handling any cleaning product and it's out of their reach.

Yes but really as little as possible - less than 1% and only from sustainable palm oil plantations.

CYCLE cleaners are environmentally friendly because they are made of >90% recycled ingredients and the bottle (excluding the closure) is made from 100% recycled plastic. Furthermore, we offset all our CO2 emissions so that every Cycle product carbon compensated.

No way! All CYCLE products are certified by Cruelty Free International, so you can be sure that not only the product, but none of the ingredients have been tested on animals.
